British Airways launches four new routes this summer, one with Spain

British Airways (BA) will launch this summer from London City Airport, the base of its subsidiary BA CityFlyer, four new European routes that will include the cities of Barcelona, Luxembourg, Milan Malpensa replacing the previous link to Milan Linate and Thessaloniki.

Routes to Luxembourg and Milan will have daily flights and will begin on March 27. From June 18, it will start the route to Thessaloniki with a weekly frequency on Saturdays, while from June 19, it will start the link to Barcelona with six weekly frequencies.

The BA subsidiary will operate the flights with an Embraer 190 aircraft.

In making the announcement, Tom Stoddart, managing director of BA CityFlyer, said, “As customers begin planning their next summer getaway, we wanted to offer new routes to some of the most popular European destinations. Conveniently accessible from London City Airport, they greatly enhance our extensive network.”
